Mindblow Escape is a project that has taken shape over the years. It stems from our passion for the world of Escape Rooms, as well as for the shows, games, and horror attractions that have motivated us year after year to develop our own experiences.
Mindblow Escape officially began in 2019 with the creation of Dementia Escape House. Dementia was our first foray into the world of horror Escape Rooms, leading to a temporary experience designed to entertain family and close friends in an old house near Banyeres del Penedès. Dementia told the story of Clerc Clément, a lunatic leader of the cult “Pueritia eternam,” who pursued eternal happiness through the lobotomization of his acolytes to return them to a state of childhood filled with ignorance and innocence.
After the success of Dementia and, especially, after the enjoyment we had in building and executing the sessions we were pleased to carry out, we decided to take a step forward and create our second escape game: Nobsolet Hotel. Nobsolet Hotel was located in Oristà (Osona), in a rural house that we transformed into a hotel for a few months in the summer of 2021. There, we pushed the technical side of our games, monitoring the session with video and gaining dynamic control of the audio, along with further development in acting and props. Nobsolet Hotel housed the past of Adam Lawrence, the spirit of the former hotel bellboy responsible for the massacre that ruined the hotel’s reputation, and Neil Edward Nobsolet, the tireless owner who fought to restore the fame of Nobsolet Hotel. We did not expect the enormous feedback we received from our participants, this time more extensive and open to distant friends and even an escape artist who managed to “sneak” into our reservations.
Our excitement and passion for the sector grew, and upon closing the temporary event of Nobsolet Hotel, we knew we had to take the leap into the professional world. However, in 2023, we had the opportunity to collaborate one last time with the Mas Bové center of the Institute of Research and Technology in Agro-Food of Catalonia (IRTA). There, The Boverfield Family was born, an Escape Room based on a terrible curse case in the Masia where one of the region’s most peculiar families lived. In this case, the experience was available for the company’s employees as a team-building activity, which has been highly valued by participants.
And this is what has brought us here. A journey of a few years creating horror experiences and games to make our closest friends scream, which we can now finally offer to the general public. With this, Gaya (Hall Escape) and Baba Yaga (Escape Room) arrive, our two permanent experiences that we hope you will enjoy as much as we do behind the scenes.
